My first Christmas Tree

I helped Mommy and Daddy decorate my first Christmas tree after our hike in the snow! I am placing one of my mommy's favorite ornaments on the tree...
It is a noble fir and so pretty! and soo big!

Snow!

I saw snow for the first time today! Mommy and Daddy took me up the mountain to Heaps Peak Arboretum where they pushed me in my stroller around the interpretive trail. It was soooo cold! But we made a snow man and I shared my hat with him!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

I am 9 weeks old today!
I got this new outfit from Aunt Summer's mommy and dad, isn't it the cutest?! The shirt says "My Daddy Can Fix Anything". And check it out... my first shoes I have ever worn. Thank you so much for the gift, Jim and Linda!

Yia Yia gave me these socks and hat!! I know, I know... too cute for words!
Then we saw this rainbow outside in front of our house!!
Tummy Time - my best yet!

And here is my first Christmas Tree and my very first ornament! It is sooo late, though, so we are going to finish tomorrow... good night!

Uncle Matt

My Daddy's friend came to visit us all the way from Ohio! They met in college in Seattle and have been buds since. He says he thinks I am cute and that I look like my mommy.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Yesterday was my very first Thanksgiving! We went to San Diego to Aunt Summer and Uncle Jeff's house. I got to see Yia Yia and Papa and Aunt Summer and Uncle Jeff again. My aunt and uncle came to my house last time to meet me when I was 5 weeks old... and now I am two months old! And I Met all sorts of other people!! I met my cousins Jack, Chase and Sydney and Aunt Summer's mom and dad (who gave me a very nice present - thank you!) and aunt and uncle and brother... and two doggies! It was a great day and I am very thankful for my family! I even got more toys and things that Jack, Chase and Sydney are sharing with me too! They are so nice! Uncle Jeff said a really nice prayer and then everyone with teeth ate - turkey, ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberry sauce, cream corn and more ... and for dessert my mommy brought her pumpkin roll, a Biron family tradition, to share, plus there were pies! I can't Wait for my teeth, Mommy says the food WAS awesome just like Grandpa Steve said it would be! I stayed awake as long as I could and got to hang out with my family, but since I can't eat yet, I took a nap in my swing during dinner :). I am so glad Daddy brought it with us! Here I am with Mommy and Daddy in the back yard:
My shirt says I am Thankful For Mommy, but I am thankful for Daddy too! I am thankful for all my family! :)
Silly daddy trying to hide behind me!I give Turkey Day a thumbs up!

by the way, about a week ago i discovered the mirror and mobiles above my head. i really like the farm animals in my crib!

today mommy and i had a little bit of a conversation... i didn't have too much to say.

i also think my mommy found a tickle spot - my shoulders... not sure but she tickled me and it made me make a little sound!

Books and Blocks

I love Dr. Suess! My mommy reads me these books all the time! I love to watch Mommy reading them because she makes faces and talks in silly accents. She even read me two of them today because we were having so much fun! Thanks to Meri for getting us Horton Hears a Who and introducing us to the wonderful world of Dr. Seuss!

Also my mommy made me these blocks, but honestly I am not sure what to do with them, yet. :)

Daddy Time

My mommy got video of me and daddy hanging out... too bad she didn't get right before this when daddy was acting like a monkey! He makes me smile. :)

5K

My mommy used to run 5Ks and she was soo excited for this morning! She took me on my first 5K. It was right down the road from where we live! It was cold outside, so I decided to wear my penguin outfit to keep warm. Mommy and Merari ran and walked while pushing me and Leila the 3.1 miles. I took a nice 43 minutes nap... and we got a medal!!

#273!

Leila and her medal.

Merari and Mommy!

Potluck

Mommy and Daddy invited friends over yesterday! Leila and her mommy, Sophia and her mommy and daddy, and Trent and his mommy and daddy were here and we all had so much fun! Daddy made dinner on the grill and it looked soo good! I can't wait to be able to eat FOOD! He grilled gourmet style!
Here are the dads, my daddy, Trent's daddy, Taylor, and Sophia's daddy, Yusef.

And here are the moms, Trent's mommy, Ashley, Sophia's mommy, Yvetter, my mommy and Leila's mommy, Merari.

too small now

I think this is the last time I'll be wearing this outfit, it's getting too small. Here I am 7 weeks 4 days old
..remember when it was too big for me when i was 1 week and 2 days old?!

Hands and Feet

Today was another eventful day! I had four friends over, Sophia, Leila, Trent and Jacob, to make presents for our moms and dads. We pressed out feet and hands in clay! Honestly, I did Not enjoy it, but I guess it is worth it for Mommy. :) Yvette took a video of the moment...

In my defense, I had Just woken up from a nap, but none of us babies really enjoyed this process. Well, after showing Leila and Sophia my swings, we went to our favorite park, Prospect Park, to show my friends the pretty views and fun trails. THEN, when Daddy came home we hung out together for a long time and played with my toys until I feel asleep. Taking a nap on daddy is so nice. I am glad he is not sick anymore so we can hang out! :)

Shots

This morning Mommy took me to Baby Boot Camp. We went running! It was fun at first, I was checking out all the new ladies and kids and looking around a lot, and Mommy seemed to be enjoying herself, but honestly, after a while I got bored sitting there while she did exercises for an hour and a half... good thing I brought my pacifier to keep me entertained! If only I could get these darn hands to cooperate with me and help keep it in my mouth... some day soon!
Well, I got my first set of shots today... it wasn't so bad, luckily I brought my pacifier along with me again, cause it certainly helped bring me back to my happy place. But check out these Bugs Bunny bandaids on my thighs! These are way better then the bandaids from that mean lady who pricked my foot and took my blood ages ago.

Dr. Clark also weighed and measured me and I weigh 9 pounds, 13 ounces (26th percentile) and am 22 1/2 inches long (50th percentile) and my head size is 39 cm (45th percentile). Mommy was worried that I lost weight since Friday, but Dr. Clark wasn't, since scales can weigh differently... in fact, she said I am perfect! I already knew that, but it is nice to hear. :) Mommy asked a ton of questions and seemed satisfied that I really am fine, even though my poop can be watery and green sometimes and even though I tend to poop 8 times a day. Dr. Clark said some babies poop 14 times a day... while other babies may poop once every 14 days!

They also talked about my dry skin, looks like I will be getting a head scratch on occasion now to help with this cradle cap... olive oil, though, really?! We'll see.

"Huh? You taking my picture?"
'
"Cheese!
"More cheese."

"Yeah, I know I'm cute."

This morning my mommy and I went for another walk in Prospect Park. I took a nap, of course, but there is a really pretty view there! We walked up big hills and all around and in the orange groves. There are lots of different kinds of trees and flowers there too! Then we went home and played, Mommy and Daddy made faces at me and I smiled and tried to follow their eyes - it was the first time I played this game with Mommy! She also made a new toy with ribbons and tickles me with them, its fun!

Almost 10 pounds

On Friday Mommy had her last Moms Joining Moms class and got to weigh me... 9 pounds 15 ounces! These are Mommy's and my friends: Merari and Leila, Mommy and Me, Yvette and Sophia, Ashley and Trent, and in the back are Amber and Mason (the instructor) and Carrie and Adam!

Yesterday we went to Sophia's. I really liked her vibrating, rocking chair!!
