I May be sick, but I can still have fun

Mommy took the day off today and we hung out this morning. I have actually been sick with a fever so we took it easy.

Here I am stringing blocks all by myself!

After my nap, we went to the Orange Show Festival with Alex and Megan. We went into the petting zoo. I actually didn't like it very much... those animals scared me. I would say Hi to them, but that's it. I was "all done" pretty much when I walked in.

Then Mommy picked me up and showed me I could pat the top of the llama's head... so I tried it.
We actually saw a 30 minute old goat too! Look at him!

My best buddy!

I also didn't care for playing too much, I guess I just didn't quite fell well enough. But this was pretty neat - there was corn all in here.

Silly Alex!
I liked this part... car races!!

Then we saw a little show with some silly clowns. They actually scared me a little at first... but sometimes they were funny.

They had a doggie!!

After all the fun, I went home and started to feel just terrible. :( I don't like being sick. It stinks... but, that does mean I get to spend another day home tomorrow with Mommy and Daddy!!

20 Months Old

It has been two months since we did an update on my development. I am now 20 month old (1 year 8 months).

I can label all the letters of the alphabet now.

I am starting to string two or more words together, like "Daddy car" or "Mama's nose" or "Water please".

I say "mamama, mama, mamama, maamaaa" with the intention of getting mommy’s attention, all the time now.

My favorite word is "NO!"

I am starting to say Thank You and I always say “Dee doo” when I give something to my mommy.

I imitate some actions to songs. My favs are the Itsy Bitsy Spider and Wheels on the Bus!

I clean up after myself, often without Mommy even asking me to.

I went pee pee in the potty for the first time on Mother’s Day, and haven’t since.

I am cutting my two bottom canine teeth.

I can imitate lines and circular scribbles with a digital pronate grasp.

I know many body parts, including elbows!

I can go up and down stairs, but still hold on to Mommy when going down. I am careful in general with gross motor skills.

I can count with Mommy to 10.

Some of my favorite things: Cars, especially Mator, cars, and more cars ... hotwheels are awesome! I also like my roller coaster bead toy a lot, and blocks (especially putting them into the holes). And rocks! I still like broccoli. I love strawberries. Pasta! Meat. Drawing/coloring. Going for walks. Saying No. I like to dance by jumping up and down, spinning, or bopping my head up and down.

Some things I don't like: green beans, squash, blueberries, brushing my teeth

I am much better about hitting and will go to time out very willingly. I like to hog toys, well, cars specifically. I say "Mine" alot too... Mommy doesn't like that word and tells me I have to share or trade and take turns. When she reminds me of those things, I will do it... most of the time.

Stuff I did:

After my one and a half year old photo shoot with Ashley, I went to Monkey Dooz with Alex and we got our hair cut into fauxhawks. My hair was really short!

I went to my first OrKidstra, and instrument petting zoo.

Mommy and I ran the Run Through Redlands 5K.

We went to the Farmer's Market and and a little art show with kid performers.

I had a playdate with Trent at Brookside.

Mommy did another nude photoshoot with the blue blanket

I went on an Easter Egg Hunt with all my buddies and we had a picnic, and I had my first cake pop, and mommy played her guitar for everyone.

I decorated my first Easter eggs and went on another egg hunt at home.

We went to Mother's Beach in Del Mar with Lili and JT and then Mommy and I went to Venice Beach.

We went to the Upland Lemon Festival and I havd lemonade for the first time. And I got to ride in a train.

I went to Lili's 4th birthday party, and got to hit a pinata.

We celebrated Mother's Day and went to a little art show and watched Toy Story 3.

We went to the Great Y Circus.

We celebrated Daddy's 36th birthday.

We went to the Redland'd Optimist Club car show with Alex.

We went to Alex's house for a playdate and had cake pops again. I am protective of my cars... but will share when Mommy tells me to.

Went to the Orange Show Festival with Alex.

Got sick with a fever. L

Car Show

The Optimist Club of Redlands had their annual car show today. Alex's family is into it, so we met them there for the morning.

I really liked the yellow cars!

Alex got this cool new wagon. It was fun to go for rides in it!

We got new toy cars too! I loooove hot wheels!
