Playdate at Jake's

Jake invited us all over to his house today for a playdate! This is Jake. He is about one month younger than me... in fact, I was the oldest one there today!

PS, Mommy said she thinks I have my first freckle, she noticed it last week and it doesn't seem to wash off... hmmm, I don't know how I feel about this.

Lake Arrowhead Village

Mommy and I went to Lake Arrowhead Village today. There is a fun place there with rides and stuff. This is on their door. He he.

Idylwild Camping with Isaac

This weekend we went camping with Isaac. We went to Boulder Basin Campground and, without reservations, found a spot with a space big enough for our huge tent! Issac was even able to sleep with us, with my pack n play and Mommy and Daddy's air mattress!

Here we are ready to go for a short evening hike to a fire tower. It was a little cool so Mommy covered my legs with this blanket. Don't I look like a ghost!? There's the moon, on the trail up to the tower.

The fire tower was neat! It closed at 5 though, so we couldn't go all the way into the top.

I didn't sleep very well last night...I woke up hungry! I never wake up hungry, so it took us a little while to figure out what I needed. Once I ate, I slept well, but was ready for an early nap the next morning. Ahh, nothing like napping under the trees with a soft breeze blowing and the smell of fresh air!

Happy Birthday Seth!!

My buddy Seth (and his mommy Karen) came over on Wednesday to play with me while mommy went to the doctor (routine appointment). Seth let me stack cones on his head! He he.

Then on Thursday Seth and Karen came with us to Story Time!!! Seth is such a good friend. And he just turned 12! So Mommy and I treated him to lunch, a cookie, and a gift at the Game Store. :) Seth is such a great friend, he takes good care of me, feeds me, plays with me, and watches out for me. He makes funny noises and is just overall grrrrreat!
Later that day I found Drum Sticks!! They were in a basket on the coffee table, and now that I am getting so big, I could just reach over and grab them! I think I want to be a drummer when I grow up!! Although, I was also playing guitar with Mommy earlier that day, and I am really good at that too! I can strum the strings really well! Mommy and I make pretty music together. She likes to sing songs like Puff the Magic Dragon and her own songs too, like The Ice Cream Song and The Sock Song, and of course Mr. Puffy! Daddy plays guitar too... I can't wait till I can play with them. That will be awesome!
Today Mommy took me to My Gym for free play. It was sooo much fun! I can even jump on the trampoline all by myself now!! Someone said I am "advanced" even.


Later we played outside for a while. Do you see all those little bubbles floating in the air!?
And today we met Janeil Owen, who is going to be my new day care lady, she is so awesome and has the best garden. Daddy was really impressed! I can't Wait to go to her house! I think I am going to have lots of fun, plus I get to eat out of her organic garden!! Hooray!

Here I am playing one of my new favorite games, empty the ball pit. I am getting good at throwing balls, and really good at pointing, I point at Everything now!

I like to climb on things now, even when they aren't the most sturdy things!

On Monday we went to the Eating Room and Saw some freinds, Dana and her family are moving to Washington, somewhere far north 3o mins from Canada! We are going to miss her and Asher and Micah and Michael lots!

Later on Monday I went to the doctor.

I went to the doctor due to what Mommy and Daddy thought might be a rash or eczema... Mommy was right, it's eczema! So now I have to put on this ointment twice a day and lotion twice a day. Mommy suspected I had senstivie skin, so she has alwasy been good about lotion, not too many baths, using hypoalergenic laundry detergent... all that stuff. Over vacation we couldn't be as careful, plus I ate a bunch of new things... so who knows what set it off. We are going to clear it up though! I doens't even bother me, so that's good. I hear eczema can be quite itchy and terrible. I hope it never gets to that... and hopefully I will be one of the lucky ones who grows out of by 2! I also have this diaper rash that keeps coming and going, the doc thought it might be a yeast infection since it comes and goes, so I have some stuff for that now too. Good thing we went to the doc! She was nice too, she even said I won the cutest baby of the day award! I like her. Oh, and I got weighed, on a totally empty stomach - I weighed 17 pounds 16 ounces, so let's just call it 18 pounds.

PS, Mommy Daddy and Yia Yia think I look like my Daddy now. At least my eyes and hair (not the color of course, that's from Mommy).

Palm Springs

We went to Palm Springs this weekend to visit Yia Yia and Papa! We stayed at a different time share again, it was really nice! Yia Yia got me a new toy, Noah's Ark!

The room was great for me to practice standing! I got so much better in just a few days, from standing for 5 seconds to standing for 45 seconds all on my own!

This morning we also got to go swimming! We took underwater pictures with our new fancy camera!

home again

It is nice to be home again. We am settling back into our old routines and getting lots of sleep and eating more. Traveling can be stressful! But FUN! Mommy and I have been cleaning a lot, as our house we are renting is for sale now and we can have buyers come any day to see the place! I wonder when and if we are going to move! I hope we move to Seattle soon!! This week Mommy has also been calling around to find me a new day care. Kim isn't able to take me back (we think she is closing her day care now that her daughter is in preschool) :(. We have some dates next week to meet some people! I am really nervous! I don't like leaving Mommy's side these days... all that traveling tuckered me out and now I just want to be by Mommy ALL the time! I am feeling a little better about it though. Mommy has jury duty on Monday and I get to spend the day with Karen and Seth. I hope I don't miss my mommy too much!

Daddy rearranged the house while Mommy and I were away. I can climb on the bookshelf now! Look at me, I am pointing! I really like that DOG book!! It has movable parts, like wagging tail and different textures! Plus it is about dogs, and I love dogs! I hope I an have a dog someday!

You may be wondering if I know how to get down from here safely... yup I do! You don't have to worry about me, I know what I am doing!

Today Mommy took me to a play date and I met Liz and Baby Ella! Mommy Daddy cleaned and put together my play structure today! Lili handed this down to me a long time ago and I finally am getting big enough to start using it!

Bubbles in my hair! I gift from Liz, these bubbles are amazing! This looks yummy! I can't seem to get it open though!

I am really making these photo shoots difficult for my mom, I just don't like to sit still anymore!! Me and Grover are being silly and rolling around here:

I can now:

`Wave hello and good bye (I got really good at this while visiting my family in New Hampshire!)
`Receive a Hi 5 (I will hold up my hand to get a Hi 5 and am starting to give a Hi 5 too, but can't quite get the whole slapping thing down)
`Clap and kinda learned how to "roll" my hands for pattycake. I love clapping!
`Walk around furniture while holding on.
`I like to roll balls across the room and love to empty the ball pit
`Stand on my own for 5 seconds
`I understand "No", but choose to ignore it sometimes!
`I make all sorts of sounds, Ba is still my favorite, but I also say Mama (still not totally discriminately), Dada, Na, Ga, and other weird sounds too.
`Pick up small things with my thumb and index finger.
(And just a week later, I can point!)

`My hair is long and curly!
`I love to dance (bounce up and down and wave my arms) whenever I hear music!!
`I like to play Peek A Boo.
`I tried eating with a spoon = messy!
`I have 7 teeth
`I sleep about 9 -10 hours a night, with alittle hiccup in that for a few days when Mommy took the bumper out of my crib. When she put it back, I went back to sleeping through the night!

`Celebrated Mommy's 34th birthday
`I saw my first parade, the 4th of July Parade in Redlands. I loved it!
`I met Sara, Mommy's friend from PTN where she had her first job as an OT
`I had my last My Gym class
`I flew all the way across the country and did a great job! Mommy and Daddy even got compliments that I was such a good baby! I went to Cape Cod and Vermont and of course New Hampshire!
