This is Karen, she is so totally awesome! She and Seth babysat me yesterday while Mommy and Daddy went on a "date" (they went out to brunch!). I love my Karen!
Karen and I took these pictures to surprise Mommy and Daddy!

This is Seth, I love my Seth, too!! I was reading to me ...
... and I fell asleep
Mommy's note: Noah is sooooo independent now, he almost always refuses to let me help him with anything, be it eating with a spoon or trying to squirt the water bottle! Amazingly he would let me help hims string these beads, but I suspect very soon he will be able to do that himself too! Such a smarty!
Also, sadly, in the last few weeks Noah has started hitting me! Ugh! I have tried acting really mad and yelling at him, and that certainly didn't help, he just laughed, then I tried redirecting it to High 5s, and telling him to "be gentlt", and now I am trying to ignore it or say "No hitting, that hurts Mommy"... but it doesn't seem to be working either. I don't know about Time Outs... I have read some people will do that at this young age, but others say don't bother because they are too young to understand. Perhaps, now that I am writing this all out, one of my problems is that I have not been consistent enough with my strategy! *sigh* I hope this will be a very short phase, because getting slapped in the face by my normally sweet little boy is not any fun! So far, luckily, he has not transferred this to day care! I hope it stays that way!! He also in the last few weeks starting throwing himself to the floor to make the point that he is not happy that I told him he is all done with something! And he doens't save this behavior for just the home. Luckily that doesn't last long and can be fizzled out with some simple redirection... but seems like those "terrible twos" are on their way! Uh oh... please comment if you have any tips!!
