I am 2 years old!

Hello everyone!  I know, it has been a long time since I last wrote!  I have been super busy.  Daddy finally moved here to be with us and we moved into a condo.  We have been busy unpacking an organizing and preparing for my birthday party.  It was 2 weeks late, but I don't mind, cause it was super fun! Pictures are below.

In the meantime I met my new doctor, Dr. Howson at Pediatric Associates in Totem Lake.  She was nice, but I was still a little clingy with Mommy.  Not too bad though.  Daddy was there too!  So, my stats?

I weigh 26.8 pounds, which is over the 25th percentile!!
I am 33 inches tall, which is in the 10-25th percentile.

I can jump off heights, climb on top of and over things and I am trying to throw a frisbee. I can go up and down stairs all by myself.  I love to go for walks and collect pine cones and rocks.  I like to exercise and run sometimes too.  I get excited in big open spaces and love to run in circles, especially around something.  I am really good at throwing and getting better at catching.  I like to play games like throwing to targets or playing catch and chase, especially when I am being chased.  I love to get tickled and I will tickle you, too.

I like to play make believe with stuffed animals (I take them for walks) or cars (they like to crash) or a toy that looks like a phone.  I am learning my colors and can so inset puzzles with ease.  I can imitate lines and make circular scribbles.  I do art projects at daycare.  I love to sit and read all my books, I could to that for ever.  I like to count and can count 1 2 3 4 5 6 18 20.  I am getting better at remembering 7 comes after 6 though.  But, I can count with one to one correspondence and will count anything when there's 2 or more of it!

I like to brush my teeth by myself (after Mommy or Daddy do it, of course).  I can take my socks off and can almost take my shoes off by myself.  I still need some help to take off my clothes.  I will tell mommy when I went poo poos.  I can fasten the buckles on my car and booster seats.  I can take caps off markers and pens... and I drew on the wall with a black crayon once (never again, mommy was so mad).

I eat just about anything, although I am not so into chocolate cake (mommy thinks I am weird).  I kinda like ice cream, but my favorites are Happy Tot, rice, meat, pasta, crackers, cheese, broccoli, carrots, yogurt... and of course cookies and chips (though I don't get much of those).  And, I will drink milk all the time now, and water, and just a little juice here and there.

I don't have frustration tantrums really, just sometimes get a little mad when I don't get my way.  When mommy lets me talk about it and gives me choices, I feel much better.  I do like to do things that mommy an daddy tell me not to do though, like make raspberries at dinner or through my PJs or clean diaper on the floor while getting changed for bed.

I know hundreds of words and make my own four word sentences ("Car fell on floor", for example) and I can sing the alphabet song and phrases to other songs (Caspar Babypants!!)

I am very helpful, I like to pick things up if someone dropped them, put things in the trash for Mommy, clean up my hands, face and table area, and all sorts of things.  I am always looking out for things out of place so I can put them back where they go.

I love hearing kids laugh, it always makes me laugh, even if it is just in a song I hear on the radio! But, I am a little shy with people at first, especially adults and especially guys.  But once I know you're cool, I'll give you a hug and kiss.  I am still learning to share, but I get nervous that kids are going to just grab my cars away from me, so I get a little protective.  With Mommy's support, and sometimes on my own, I will share.  I don't say "mine" all the time like I used to!

The doc said it would be good if I can stop sucking on my fingers by 3 years old.  Mommy reminds me often that I am two years old and that if I want to go for choo choo train rides I need to stop.  I am getting better, but I still like to, especially when I am tired.

I can see a car or a picture of a car from a mile away, no matter how small or barely detectable it may be.

I love my family and get excited when I get to see or talk to any one of them, especially on Skype.
